We don't want to know what the other hand is doing.

Doesn't look like they have the barbed ones, FWIW.

I kept my entire system consistent - 1/2" male and female pipe thread.

Hoses are teflon core, stainless sheathed with male 1/2" pipe and the couplers attached. All components use male nipples and hoses are female couplers, inlcuding the low temp water lines, whaich are 1/2" male pipe to barb. The only brass I have in the system is prior to the filter in the main water inlet to the manifold.

See Google page.

This is my boil cart only. All Grain system is in process as we speak. I am fortunate to work for a company that makes all the plumbing you see. QD's are naturally the choice then. I did homebrewing in the past where setup time and sanitizing take the fun out of it. This is a CIP system. PBW after brew, and then Star San prior to brew - with focus on cleaning everything after the heat exchanger.

Big monetary investment, but well worth it. I can extract brew in 2-2.5 hours - QD water inlet, CIP loop, boil time, and clean-up, then roll the cart back. It will make the AG system all that much better as well.

My design intent never dreamed of not having them in the system. Stay away from Brass as lead is added to for manufacturing purposes, if you can. Take care!
