Ok, here it is. not 100% but almost.. My brewhouse!

Thu Apr 09, 2009 11:44 am

Ok guys, I have been lurking for years, and brewing for years for that matter. Have not brewed in the last 2 years but I am gearing up to do so....

I built a 12x20 building behind my house,, and the link below ( photobucket pictures ) shows you what I have been up to the last 3 months...

Most of the brewstand and controller were already on a 2 stage stand, actually the same stand, I just cut off the top and made it a single tier. anyways,,, still putting the actually brew system togeather...

anyway, check it out if you would and throw me some comments or suggestions if you want..

I'll probably be posting here a bunch now that I have finally spoken,

Is your BrewShed on a foundation... or is it just on a slab so we can easily steal it with a few forklifts and a flatbed truck while you're away? :asshat: :asshat: :asshat:

Nice setup and nice work. That couch is way too nice, however.
Aging: Gotlandsdrickå, Baltic Porter in Bourbon barrel, Olde Ale #2 in whiskey barrel
On Draft: Nothing. Building a walk-in cooler right now.

Well, the couch, table, that black cabinet, stainless freezer were all given to me.. the freezer needed a compressor, I pulled one out of an old water fountain and put it in.. pulled a vacuum and charged it up and damn if it hasnt been working for months.. Of course its not a freezer anymore, soon there will be several taps across the front of it.. it holds 12 kegs if you can believe that, but once I put the taps on that will change. The brewstand is several years old, that control panel was mounted to the stand at one time, it used to be 2 tier, with an igloo cooler for the mash tun.. but while building this place I decided to make the brew stand just like I wanted it as well.. I am pretty thrifty and I dont have as much into this place as one would think.. All the electrical, plumbing, welding, programming ( I'll show you guys that later when I get it done ) was done by me... when your not paying for labor you can buy a bunch more for your dollar... Most everything else in there came from craigslist... with the exception of that conical,,, man it hope its worth it, I puckered up a little ordering that.

I have been looking at ideas for a year and just tried to incoporate all those ideas into this place. Of course it is forever changing in my head,, even as I put stuff togeather it changes.

oh well, trying to wire it all up today, hope to fire it up for a test run this week and maybe just maybe brew me a batch next saturday.... That seems to change weekly, I thought I'd be brewing today, but.....

anyway, oh yeah, Its on a slab dammint.. :jnj

Nice! Very organized.

No neon lights or beer posters with girlies? Nothing? :(
