Nice job on the set-up.

Few questions for you, or observations; It looks like out have the pumps OUT port at the bottom. and the ball valve on the IN side? If so, you want to switch that, the valve should always be on the OUT side, and I believe you'll find it easier to keep primed if the ports are reversed, with the OUT side on the bottom. Or maybe they are, and it just looks wierd the way you have your hoses hooked up.

BINGO!! Good eye Brother!!

When I fired her up that moning I had the input hoses running into the "out" side of the pumps. So instead of cutting new hose I turned the pump heads over and switched the fittings and valves.
You are right she would not hold a prime for anything.
Now I have the pump heads turned back around and reran the hosed so that it should work.

Thanks for the input,

That system is money! Do you have your gas lines on auto pilot type solenoids? If so, that's pretty damn cool.....

TimX,
Your almost there. You are still going to want to turn your pumps so the "out" side is down and the valves are underneath the pump. That way when you open your kettle valve, the liquor/wort will fill the pump. Otherwise you will have a hard time holding a prime. Basically you want your BK hose to fly straight down into the pump instead of having to curve back up into the pump.

I think he has it right now, "OUT" is facing up with the valve, "IN" is facing down to hold the prime. That's been working for me.

I guess if it works for ya. I usually just close my valve, open the the kettle valve and it fills it up and primed, start the pump and open the valve and away i go.
