Posting a new topic here, I sort of hi jacked it from the "Dear Alonzo" thread which was getting way off topic.

I agree that Garret may not be a good fit for for The Session, he is sort of the Fraser Crane of the beer world, but you never know. Garret is speaking at our homebrew club tonight and is inviting us over to the brewery to see the new expansion, very cool indeed.
However as someone else mentioned, he would be awesonme for The Hombrew Chef show.
Home to see my fellow brewing brothas & sistas there.

And you're more like the Norm of NYC Homebrew!

Pretty cool, we got to see the 2 new spaces under construction that will allow them to go from 12,000 barrels a year to around 80 -100.
He popped open numerous bottles of Sorachi Ace and we had free reign of the taps for a while. He then followed us over to Mug's Ale House where normally meet and he brought over a few goodies as well as sampled lots of homebrew.
I was a bit fuzzy this morning.

Hey Fritz, Lee, and other NYCers:

Last thing I heard from Garret, and this was a while back, but I think it was something about Brooklyn Brewery trying a bourbon aged beer with a bacon infusion. And he said something to the effect of: "One of 2 things will happen: either it will suck or I will RULE THE WORLD!"

Well, I'm just curious, did anyone try that beer? And if so, how was it?

(Count me as kind-of agreed that the Sunday show is maybe not the best fit, but he is a very entertaining speaker. If he is on I would suggest cutting back on the Lunch Meet material. You never know, it could make a great show.)

Thats awesome. Must of been a hell of a time. I can't wait to see it when it's done. I'm always fuzzy the day after a night at the brewery.

Nope, but that seams to me his "motiv opernandi" about a few things about Brooklyn Brewery though
I think he is a bit overwhelmed with the new space as it will be a whole new world to him. I believe they are going to have a control room where they can control what flows from which tank to another fermentor, what crushed grains will go to tuns etc.
Pretty wild stuff.
