Centennial Bines turning purple near the top

Fri Jun 18, 2010 8:10 pm

All,

My bines growing in half wine barrels in general are doing great. But in the last three weeks, the tops of the centennial bines are turning purple. Like when you put celery in water with purple food color in the water. All other signs are that they are doing great. The leaves are deep green and look heathy. The rest of the bine looks great.

Could this be a sign of a micronutrient deficiency?

Thanks,

Check out www.freshhops.com. They have pictures of the many different problems you could run into growing hops. Very informative. If you don't see your problem there, you could contact your local nursery......bring pics. Good luck!

I think the site you're looking for has one less "H" in that URL. http://www.freshops.com/
