I'm in central Ohio with two Cascade and two Centennial (all first year) that get sun from mid-morning to late afternoon. The Cascades are about 5 feet and 4 feet, and the Centennials are about 4 feet and 2 feet (that one doesn't get as much sun) and all pretty puny. Oh well, I'm just happy that they all came up (I only planted the four) - the rhizomes were pretty small.

I live near Minneapolis, and just started growing this year. I planted late march, it was really cold. I have the following. The sunbeam gets sun from 9am to noon, the rest get a full days sun.

Vojvodina: 2 bines, 2 ft
Sunbeam: 1 bines, 15 ft
Cascade: 3 bines, 12 ft
Fuggle: a deer ate the main bines so I have 4 off shoots growing up the twine 8 ft
Saaz: 3 bines, 12 ft
Chinook: 3 bines, 15ft

PS my hops are grown on a south facing hill and I grow them 4 ft straight up then horizontally

I suck at growing Hops. Area is Oregon, PDX.

Cascade - 1 foot, 1 bine, 1 year old
Fuggles - 7 feet, 4 bines, 3 years old

Do not have a final resting place for them as they are potted, and I feel this is the big issue. Wate ronce a day, fertilize with garden granuals. Hope to have a final ressting place for them soon.

i have 1st year cascade and centennial in containers, they're looking healthy but they're only about 5-6 feet. Both have 4-6 bines though. I didn't cut down any bines per the guy from hop union on the sunday session.

To anybody using pots who has nice tall plants: what size are your pots? I know mine are wide enough but too shallow (about 10" of soil).
