Wed Jul 14, 2010 11:09 am

Brewing Green Flash next weekend and wanted to get an opinon on any additions to my water. 6 gal batch. Current water numbers after filtering.
Ca 32ppm
Mg 11ppm
Na 63ppm
SO4 19ppm
Cl 83ppm
HCO3 97ppm
ph 7.9

I was thinking on getting my Ca up to 80-90ppm buy adding Cal-chloride and Gypsum. What do you think?

You will definitely want to bump your sulfates up... as well as calcium. Search for Tasty's APA water profile. That should suit this beer nicely.
