Getting ready to dough in a barleywine as soon as the strike water is hot enough. Projected gravity is 1.140  15°F out there, may take a while to get the boil going.

Just started the 90-minute boil on a chocolate vanilla stout - my own recipe. Will add the homemade extract (cocoa nibs and vanilla vodka) to the secondary. I usually don't use a secondary, but want to take it off the trub before I add the extract. This will be kegged.

It feels a little weird but I'm doing (2) 3 gallon extract batches to test out some hops I would normally never use. Both Pale Ale recipes, one with all Glacier Hops and the other will all Galena Hops.

Good Luck! Glacier is slowly becoming my go-to for darker american style beers (especially reds), and in the past year I have began a love affair with the pithy grapefruit character of Super Galena.

You could always add it in to taste at packaging...
