In the Montana Rockies that would mean I'd never brew

So far my record is brewing out on the deck at -20F. Funny, the cooler mashtun lost a few degrees that day.

Ok, heating for attempt #2. Only one problem so far, but it nearly gave me a heart attack... wasn't taking any chances so I dismantled the pump all over again just to be safe. Hooked everything back up & started heating the water. I went to flip the switch on the pump & nothing. Absolutely zero. At this point I'm ready to just push the whole brewstand right over the porch railing. Oh... what's this... perhaps I should try plugging the pump in before turning it on. Yup, today's gonna be a win.

It's just been a frustrating one from the beginning. Had it setup to do a 12 gallon batch on Saturday. I was going to put that into my 25 gallon conical & pitch. Then do another batch Sunday to fill it up. For a couple reasons Saturday wasn't happening so I figure what the hell, I haven't done a double-batch in ages... Sunday it is. Then after standing out in 5 degree weather fucking with that pump yesterday for 3 hours...

Doughed in on first batch. Should be smooth sailing from here... if I finish on time

If I didnt have brochitis I would have been out there brewing, my wife would have killed me if I had attempted that brew day. Maybe next weekend.

Brewed some ginger ale. Found the recipe in a local advertiser paper.
Made it once before and it turned out pretty tasty.
