The hops were looking good, some too far gone, so I brewed a fresh hop ale using one of Vinnie's wet hop recipes circulating at the LBS. Some Columbus, but mostly Centennial and Cascade. Just dry (wet) hopped yesterday.

I love the Blind Pig. Tried brewing a version in June. It was great for a couple weeks. Then it lost that incredible hop character. I'm thinking a combination of oxidation and a warm basement. Let me know how yours turns out.

I always ramp up the dry hopping schedule with any IPA recipe I have used. 2 oz of dry-hops just doesn't seem like much to me. 4-5 gets me a little more excited though! It is happily fermenting away at 67 degrees in my fridge. Will dry hop once fermentation slows down.

Starting to rebrew an IPA I've made several times before - but using Marris Otter instead of American 2 row to see how that changes things.

Did a favorite session beer with MO a couple weeks ago as well as I go through this 55lb sack.

Chilling a Northern German Altbier with magnum for bittering. Looking forward to a sessionable malty beer in about 6 wks. or so. Bring on the fall!

I just brewed a Scottish 80/- last night. First beer brewing session in way too long. I will have to brew again shortly since this batch is promised to the Nebraska Stroke Association beerfest benefit coming up next month. http://www.fourstargifts.com/Gifts/Home ... t_2010.php

Next up will be a cider this afternoon and then a wee heavy in a couple weeks using the yeast cake from the 80/-.

About to dough in a Belgian blonde. JZ's recipe but with Maris Otter as I just realized I'm out of Pilsner malt. It'll be beer. Ommegang yeast.

Tasty's APA. Mash is complete, albeit at 152F instead of 154F, but I also made some hop substitutions, so we'll call this Mike Todd's Tasty APA instead of Mike McDole's. Heading out to sparge now.
