Brewed up a Vienna yesterday and repitched wyeast 2007 from a german pils. The pils taste great so I cannot wait for the Vienna.

Heating up the strike water for Reaver's Ale. I'm making a beer dedicated to each of the seven kingdoms, and this one is dedicated to the iron isles. Reflecting the reaving traditions of the region, it has malt from five different maltsters.

So, may be a weird concept, but this is called the OctoIPA. German/American Hops and Malt based on JZ's Oktoberfest. Hallertau and Cascade. 2row/Vienna/M10/C60. San Diego Super and American Ale yeast. 65F fermentation temps. Mash low, 148F. Water is almost ready.

Brewed up an American Barleywine on Monday with my good buddy who owns the LHBS. Today is a massive RIS with an extended boil to hopefully hit my gravity. These big daddy beers are the last brew days of the summer and should last me a couple years of aging.
