After 5 Belgian Batches, time to go back to the IPA for a good summer time beer. Amarillo and Simcoe based, light on the crystal. Ferment at 65F (Measured center of mass on the conical), standard 1056/001.

Hot here in Oregon, 95F tomorrow.

God that sounds good. I can't brew for a while because work has placed me in a hell hole for 6 months... I'll have a couple Par 6 Stouts waiting for be when I get back... because as usual, 5 'shots' is never enough. Cheesy I know, but I don't have a marketing department. Keep up the good work!

Made 2 extract batches on Sunday. A pale ale and a saison.
Citra & Columbus for the pale, Meridian and Wyeast 3711 for the saison.
Gimme oysters and beer (and Durian) for dinner every day of the year...

I haven't brewed in far too long. Heat and apathy can take a toll. I should, though, brew a few extract batches that I like. Thanks for the inspiration!

A good hefe or even a patersbier can be made with extract. Both are delicious in the summer!

+1 on extract Hefe. Breiss Weizen extract is great for this. So simple it feels like cheating-

For 5 gallons:

6lbs wheat extract
1 oz Hallertaur @60 mins
NO irish moss or anything else
WLP300 or Wyeast 3068

Use a blowoff tube, trust me.

10 days later, keg/bottle it.
Done.
