Kraut'n it. 2nd batch. Last batch wasn't bad but this time I doubled the amount of apple (trying Braeburn instead of Ambrosia as well), a few more carrots & then doubled the whole thing. The last one was just 1 head of cabbage netting ~2L. With the extra apple & carrot it looks like I'll be pretty close to 5L for this batch. The last batch had a Bartlett pear in it but I was in a hurry to get out of the grocery store so I just said screw it for this one.

Crap! Just added my hops to the boil and then turned around to see my hop spider sitting on the bench. Going to have to siphon the wort from the kettle because the hops will clog the wimpy screen on my valve. Got to change that arrangement soon.

Last weekend, I noticed a leak from the valve on my fermenter just before I pitched the yeast. I had to sanitize another fermenter and transfer. I hate days like that.

Just mashed in on an imperial gingerbread stout. This could be a huge failure. Lol.

Double brew day yesterday. Made a clone attempt of Three Floyds Gumballhead and a Vienna Amber loosely based on Ballast Point's Calico Amber but dry hopped with some Palisade.

Getting ready to sparge an American amber ale with lots of hop layering. Funny how when the seasons change my desire for more malt in beers kicks in.
