Do they monitor your water use?

They just put in new meters, so I assume so. Maybe I shouldn't have washed those five kegs. . .

I'd be in trouble, I think my lowest water usage while brewing is 300+ gallons. I really should try to manage my water better.

That's for a 1 gallon batch right? :D

I love being on a well. And having a boiler instead of a furnace. From a small 2 bedroom apartment paying just electricity versus a house paying both electric and natural gas, my bill at the house is almost half.

Anyone brewing this am

Tue Sep 10, 2013 7:24 am

I am brewing in the rain at the moment. Making another smash Saison with sorachi ace as the hop this time. I am going to get the Citra version of this later today as well.

Did you make it to the Jamboree this past weekend?

I'm going to brew this coming weekend...a Maibock.

See Dirk, there's always ways around water restrictions! Even though it may mean your evaporation rate is -4%

No, I was scheduled to work the night before so no jamboree this year. How was it? The weather that day was great. Are you in one of the clubs?

The weather was great. Only rain was early Sunday morning around 4am, otherwise dry and cool. I was serving at the Seacoast Homebrew Club booth (my club). We had about 14 kegs total serving but only a couple kicked. Won myself a couple medals in the competition too...a bronze in mead and a gold in cider. I even had a parrot land on my shoulder (he was buzzing everybody the whole weekend). It was a great time and I will definitely be back next year. I'll just make sure I take it easier on Friday night though. Being this was my first year, I overdid it a bit and didn't feel right until about 4pm on Saturday.
