My water report seems to be in mg/L. How do I convert these numbers to ppm? Here is the Chicago report:

I'm pretty sure mg/L = ppm in this context.

Why isn't Calcium Hydroxide (slaked lime) used in the spreadsheet? It can help reduce alkalinty by precipitating Calcium Carbonate and not add alot of chloride ions as adding Calcium Chloride would do.
