PROST!!

I don't normally bottle but the last time I did put the beer in a bottling bucket, added corn sugar and gelatin then bottled. The beer cleared in about a week or so and it tasted fine.

Here is an update on how it worked out.

Though the beer cleared considerably, it wasn't really clear at the party. Mostly because I only had 2 days and b/c I lost the o-ring for my filter. The latter didn't allow me to filter the beer again. This time hoping that a 5 micron filter would do a better job. I found the o-ring in my driveway a few days ago. It must have gotten lost during cleaning.

But the beer tatsted better. The slight yeasty taste was gone which I call a success. Since I already had non-clear pastic cups anyway, nobody noticed.

But because of the additional handling of the beer, it picked up some oxidation which I noticed when I tries it the day after the party. Luckily most of it was already gone at that point.

I'm not sure when I will try this again. I expect to have more time for the next beers that I'm brewing.
