Late hopping beers like Griffin Spit IPA and Jamils Evil Twin yields some great hop "flavors" with mild biitterness. These are truly tasty but I have found the hop profile fades much quicker than tradtional hopping schedules. But for most of us, killing a 5 gallons in 2-3 weeks should not be a problem.

Next hoppy brew I do will most likely be done in this way. Just been listening to some of the archived sessiona and JZ brings this up and endorses it as being a great way to ram your beer with hop flavour and aroma. I've always struggled to get hop flavour into my beer ... no matter how much I add, so this is worth a shot. :)

one of my best pale ales has all hops beggining at 20 minutes. As everyone states. Its my absolute favorite for a month or so. (takes me a bit to go through 5 gallons  ) After a while, the aroma flavor starts to fade and a pale ale slowly turns into a mild IPA. Still not bad at all. I really like to short hop with Amarillo and Centennial.

I made a 2L starter for a czech pils and used 3 oz saaz at 10m. the starter came out better than the actual beer.

What was the reason for hopping the starter? Not heard of that being done before.
