I started with the exact same setup (bucket inside of bucket), and I only circulated enough to be "somewhat" clear (maybe a gallon or so), and then just started filling my boil kettle until I had proper boil volume. The only difference between a sparge that took 20 min vs. 60 min. was about 5% on efficiency.
