Personally I think you should be fine. CO2 is heavier than oxygen so even if the headspace is 50/50 between oxygen and CO2 the CO2 should still provide a barrier between the beer and the oxygen.
If you use it for secondary that would be a different case. But for primary my 2 cents are that you'd be all good.
