Re: Yeast starter longevity

I did make more wort and add it to existing starter figuring that it would get it going again before I brewed, but my brew day was delayed again. Its in the door of my fridge with an air lock. I will have to learn about the rinsing part and do it before my brew day. I will have to go back through and reread this thread. I know there is info I missed.

I'll post a 'Yeast Rinsing 101' & see if we can get it moved to a sticky. It's posted in these forums a bunch of times, but it does require digging around & the whole reason it's posted so many times is that folks don't use the search feature or aren't digging deep enough.

Just spent an hour writing it up & the board kicked me off & erased it all. I'll rewrite it when I'm done with this batch. Gotta get back to my mashout.
