Servus and Prost to the Beer Community

Mon Aug 22, 2005 9:40 pm

Finally I made it to the forum of the BN...took me a while and the first thing to happen is I write this 17 pages long message and it never shows up...well, I guess I am not really forum savy yet...
anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know, how much fun it is to be an active member of the beer community now. I have been with the BN from the first day on and I was hooked immediately.
Moderating the chat is so much fun for me, I look forward to sundays all week long and it is because of you guys out there that I have such a great time. Your questions, comments, jokes, justin-insults and all the other stuff is just great...and it goes with the purpose of the BN, to establish an online resource that is Your space...
Thank you so much for everything my beer-friends...keep tuning in and keep me busy and laughing....
I really appreciate all of it :)

Thanks, Daniela! You definitely make the show fun. We chat roomers appreciate the work and patience (for Oz) that you have. It would not be as fun if, say Justin, was running the chat room  . We really can't wait until you make you first batch of beer. Post some pictures on the gallery when you do.

Bavarian, eh? I knew you had southern (German) accent.

Hey Daniela, welcome to the forum. I know you'll be as popular here as you are in the chat room and on the show

Alright Daniela, you threatened us that you are going to learn how to brew. Sometimes people need the prod in the right direction. So here it is....the Queen of Beer Competition in Shingle Springs (outside of Sacremento) on October 22 with entries due on 9 October. You have plenty of time to get a batch or two on it's way.

I'm throwing down the gauntlet, Daniela. Are you going to accept my challege?

I will take it on!!!!!!

Tue Aug 23, 2005 8:22 pm

Of course I will take the challenge on and brew my first beer. I am pretty excited now. And I will also submit it to the chicks' competition and hopefully win the beer crown....
My beer will go through Dr. Scott's quality control and if he approves it, it should be fine :aaron
I am also sure that justin will assist me with his great advice...

i will also post pictures of the whole process on the forum page....should be fun.

all right guys, now i am onto it.....

wish me luck

Be careful about Dr. Scott's "quality control", you just might not have any left to enter into the competition!

Welcome to the forum :P Thanks for the work moderating the chat room. I just wish I was able to catch more of the shows. Good luck with the first brew.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
