I have been brewing for 11 years, with the first copy of Brew Your Own, then right to Charlie Papazian's books. I was hooked! My brewing system consists of multiple pots, burners, carboys, kegs, and coolers. I always brew two different batches at once; from 5-20 gallons each, and long days.
I started competing about 18 months ago, when I joined a local home brew club (Bloatarian Brewing League). The more I competed the better my beers became. I took four medals in the first round of the AHA, but did not place in the final round in Orlando. I did discover the Brewing Network there.
