Hey! from N.E. Indiana

Mon Nov 06, 2006 2:21 pm

Howdy,

I'm new to this board, though I participate on a few others.
I started brewing last November and have 14 AG batches under my belt.
I'm frugal(read cheap), love to tinker and scrounge and have a Ghetto setup. As of now I only keg my beer but I need to try bottling sometime.
I look forward to all the tips and info, plus the audio sessions.

Cheers!
Bob

Frugal brewers seem to fit in quite nicely around here. Now post some pics of the ghetto-fied setup and proove it!

Welcome!

Ghetto? Hell, that setup is almost as sophisticated as mine! I even use the same black wallpaper tray.

Ghetto? Pshaw! when you start hauling your HLT to the rafters with a rope like bub, then you can run with the ghetto crowd ;)

I have that same rolling table setup, but mine is not fancy metal like yours - just two discarded upper cabinets screwed back to back with casters. I love it, though, makes a great place to keep the mash tun and assorted other crap that needs to move around on brew day.

Bub is so ghetto he uses yellow water sprinklers for sparging, looks like he can sparge 3 seperate batches at a time!
