Thanks OZ, feel like I know everyone from listening to archives, guess I forgot to tell a little bout myself. I live in a little hamlet to small to call a town across the water from Seattle I’m semi retired not cause I’m old but cause I would rather brew beer than work and I have a military pension that gives me that option. I started brewing early in 94 when wife gave me extract kit for Christmas bad yeast old extract turned out like crap did not give up found a brew shop got better ingredients and shifted to extract with grain. Took 3 years off when I lived in Italy but it was ok can you say beer run Germany. Started all grain this year and will never go back I built my own system from scrap yard and home depot parts I think it will be a work in progress for some time to come.

Your life story sounds very nice, I have to point out, good wife for giving you the kit and living in Italy is fantastic. Where exactly at? How luxirous to be able to do a beer run to Germany...I bet you love the lagers...


All we need now is some pix of your all grain system, you need an avatar with the hat and the fun can beging.

I lived in Caserta which is a 30 Km North of Napoli (Naples). Italy is passion great food wonderful people and kick ass wine, but their beer sucks Peroni (Italian budwiser), Nastro Azzurro we just called it Nasty Ass. so every month or two I would take trip North to the lagar homeland. Will work on hat, I will send pics of system after I finish tier I'm building.
