Experienced taster, new to brewing

Hi All,

Looking forward to sharing my journey with you all. I'm about to be dragged kicking and screaming to Lisbon Portugal for the next three years. While the better half earns us a living, Im going to learn how to make beer!

I intend on starting with full grain, and I'm in the process of deciding how to build a home brewery. So thanks in advance to all those who take the time to offer advice and answer questions.

Hopefully I can offer up a few pearls of wisdom of my own as I go. I'll start with - Always drink quality over quantity - so long as there is enough of it!

Welcome. Hope there are some worthy homebrew shops in Portugal. You might want to consider packing an extra suitcase with some much needed ingredients to get you started at first.

Shhh... I thought there was a lesson to be learned in using the search function, and not just for the OP. We all know you know how to use it.

Not saying we're not here to answer the same questions over and over and over... cause we do all the time... but considering the history of content & wealth of information stored within these pages, that's about the simplest search ever & won't return anything irrelevant. Now if you were trying to search 'Session' beers... that can be a rough one to find what you're looking for.

Also another reason why I give out general advice in lieu of my recipes. There's a lot to be said about the old idiom, "Teach a man to fish..."
