New from Cotati, Ca

Mon Oct 23, 2006 7:25 am

Been listening at work now for a couple of months, and finally finished the archives. What am I going to listening to all week now? Oh well, had some questions and wanted to introduce my self before I start posting.

Been brewing since father's day of this year. My fiancee bought me a beer kit and I have never looked back. About to start batch #9. Since listening to this show, I have upgraded to a full batch boil (found a 6 gallon lobster pot at target), do a late extract addition and batch sparging for the last 3 batches.

My brew has improved considerably because of the brewcast. Keep up the graet work guys.

Greeting back, photoguy. Do you mean the Sonoma Beerocrats? If so, no, I have not. For reasons that I wont go into in an open forum.

Are you a member?

Conditioning in the bottles, I have an IPA and an ESB. In secondary ferms I have a Kolsch and a Saison. And tomorrow I brew an all cascade and amarillo Pale ale. All that beer, and nothing is ready to drink.

I just finished off my first batch of IPA, mmmmmmmm.......... That was my best brew to date, but hard to drink every day. Hence the kolsch and pale.

What about you? Also, you must frequent The Beverage People then. yes?

I am a big fan of Double IPA's and make a pretty good one. Lots of Simcoe hops. I have a coffe/milk stout in the primary and just kegged 10 gallons of pale ale hopped with just summit hops. I do frequent the Beverage People for most of the ingredients I get. Good luck on your brew tomorrow.
