New in Nebraska

Thu Sep 27, 2012 5:47 pm

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site and new to brewing.
I was led to this forum by Bugeater after meeting him at the recent Huber Haus Octoberfest.
This seems like a good community, and I've got a lot of possibilities to learn here.
I'm just getting into homebrewing, and could actually use some advice on purchasing kits, but I have bigger dreams of opening up a brewpub in the near future.
I'll be browsing around to see what I can pick up, hopefully learning enough to contribute soon enough.

Welcome! I'd go knock on Boog's door until he tells you everything he knows

Good luck with your jump into homebrewing...your life will never be the same. But then again, they say the same thing after a :crazybitch: sighting.

Haven't gotten to try any of his beers yet but he mentioned a peach saison tasting party soon that I'm hoping to attend.
He certainly seems to know his stuff, and I can sure use the help.
Thanks for the welcome!

Glad to see you made it here! Your best bets for trying my beers would be the October meeting for the South Omaha Brewers. This will be Sat Oct 13 2:30pm at Upstream Legacy 17070 Wright Plaza Just show up and ask for the SOB's. After the meeting you can stay for Uptoberfest if you haven't had enough beer at the meeting :) .

Another event where you can try the SOB's beers (and mine) Would be at the Homegrown Homebrew Beerfest at the Crescent Moon on Sunday October 28th. I should have at least 3 beers at that one.

Hope to see you at one or both of these.
