Getting back in the game

Thu Jul 12, 2012 5:42 am

Howdy folks,

This prodigal brewer has returned for active duty. I've missed you all - well maybe not BadRock, but I think my retina's have finally healed from looking at that ugly mug!

As they say, when it rains it pours & life sure had a way of piling the shit deep on me, all at once. I'd really prefer not to go into too many details, but it seemed like major issue after major issue on top of another major issue wasn't ever going to stop. At least a couple of them had positive outcomes after all was said & done. Most notably SWMBO is now TSBWTHoMS (that stupid bitch who took half of my shit) and I'm a much better man because of it, and also I'm now cancer-free!

I want to send out a big thanks to those who checked up on me in my absence. It was really nice to know there were a few out there who noticed I slipped out of sight for a while & wanted to make sure I was ok. Those emails helped a lot.

I guess it's time to dust off the carboys & apply a nice porter to my carpet. And try to catch up on all the episodes I missed.

Is this the man from down under? I don't know you OZ, but for your voice in the first year or so of the BN archives. I only started listening in Aug '11. Glad to hear you are getting back to brewing and that you're healthy again. Are we going to be hearing the weekly calls again?

Sorry to disappoint, but not one and the same. I wasn't able to listen live most of the time. Tried for DotW twice but passed out once & got too drunk to dial the phone the other time. I was a little more active on the forums than on the air - in fact I think the only time I successfully called in was over the Secret Santa deal a couple years back. Hope someone was able to take over that for me. Such a shame if we didn't have random homebrew flying all over the country. I also hope Boog finally drank the truckload we sent him that year

Is your location correct? If so, a beer might be in order. Welcome back!

Holy shit! Another Bozemanite? I don't remember if I was the very first Montanan in the BNArmy, but I do know I was the first one 'in these parts' active here. Yup, it's still correct, I live just down the road from Bobcat stadium on Black behind Kagy. PM me for my number.
