As you have noticed, the game is not trivial... its not fast paced either. The object is to brew the highest quality beer that you can and climb to the top of the 'Game Brew Master' ladder. You start in a garage brewery and work your way up to micro brewery and eventually to a full brewery by making and selling craft beers. To make beer you must understand the full brewing process, you develop a recipe and grain bill... then you mash it, boil it, ferment it, condition it, and bottle it. The entire brewing process is meticulously modeled and you have to know your stuff. Once you have brewed beer you sell it in the pub (and play silly little mini-games while doing it). To sell your beer you can throw keg parties, advertise to other players.. or just chat your beer up in the pub. The money you make goes into upgrading your brewery and eventually expanding to the higher levels... That's it in a nutshell... holler if I can answer additional questions.
