North Texas - Anyone near by?

Wed Sep 13, 2006 8:00 pm

Hey all, just wanted to pop in and say hi from Valley View, Texas. Never heard of it? Me wither until we bought land here. We are about 40 miles north of DFW and it is a small town - very small.

I can't really say I have been brewing long (2 extract batches about a 1 year and a half ago) but am jazzed to gear back up and do a lot more. Just finished brewing an Amber Ale and a Sierra Nevada Clone the last two weeks and built a walk in cooler for fermentation and storage (see my post in the Equipment Forum).

Thanks for all the help the Brewcasters bring, and as I said in the Equipment Forum, I hope I don't bog anyone down with "obvious" questions (stupid), I just want to brew great beer.

I promise to let everyone know how things go in my sessions and any suggestions, critiics, or comments or greatly appreciated. Anyone in this area, let me know - I would love to visit and share stories, tips, failures, and of course - beer!

Best regards and happy brewing!

There aren't any stupid questions in here. Although many try to push that rule, myself included. If you can't find the answer in here, then just ask it. You shouldn't get torn up to bad. You will get your answer though.

You may hate this then - when I am about 20lbs lighter, I am a look alot like Troy Aikman. Got many free meals during those times (must have started that 20lb gain thing - or it could have been the beer).

The Texans did real well last weekend too! Who did they draft this year, Reggie Bush? Oh, nope that was New Orleans.

Thanks for the welcome - I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and having a great time.
