Kölsch

my Kölsch has a pretty low FG of 1.009 and had an OG of 1.035.
should I add more sugar, the FG is not really the FG i took the reading after I racked it....
I am tempted to add more corn sugar and let it ferment some more to increase FG and alc.
what do you think?

Since sugar is 100% fermentable, you won't increase your final gravity. You will actually lower it since you are in essence adding more alcohol and alcohol is less dense than water.

You missed it on your OG; if you are doing all grain, next time use proportionately more grain. If doing extract, do the same with that.

I wouldn't add sugar simply for the fact that you will make a very headachy beer.

Enjoy it as a session beer and see how the flavor profile turns out. Adjust as necessary and make a perfect beer next time.

thanks for the tips guys!
will do! I'll leave it in the carboy a few more days before bottling, I think it may turn out a little clearer then .
cheers!
