Greetings from Northeast Pa

Mon Apr 18, 2011 4:19 pm

Hey all, located here in Wyoming County, northeastern Pa. Been making wine for decent length of time now and going to start brewing my own beer now. Kicked the idea around of opening a winery as that has exploded in popularity in this area (about 1.5hr south of Seneca Lake). Just alot involved in getting the license so for now I just make alot of wine and share with friends and family. Startig a small vineyard this spring. I really enjoy the brewing process. I used to drive dirt racecars and this hobby is a hell of alot less expensive.
I'll be doing more kegging than bottling my beer. We have an outside bar as well as an inside bar at our home, both with kegerators. Perhaps I have a problem? 8)

My favorite commercial beers are Yuengling Lager and Yards Brewing Co. Brawler (a English Brown Ale type of brew made in Philadelphia)

Hey welcome! I'm from Wyalusing originally, and the Mrs. went to Tunk. Yeah, vineyards are cropping up all over the area...

I imagine it's very similar to the place that her dad worked at for many many years.
