I wasn't all that into beer before I was stationed in Germany back in 2006, but I always made it a point to try new stuff. I was a Samuel Adams fan from the very beginning though. I've solely been drinking craft beer for a few years now, as in I won't even expect free AB type crap.
Now that I'm back in the States, off active duty and living in Montana, I started homebrewing this summer. I'm into beer and brewing now, I'm considering going to a brewing school. I'm a Geoscience major, but damnit if it doesn't wear me down a lot. Plus really, I'm 29 and will be in school until I'm 35 at a minimum to do what I want to do. Just the thought of brewing full-time in maybe a year or so is enticing....
I'm going to be upgrading from your somewhat standard brewing kit to an all-grain, 10 gal, conical-sporting system! Not bad for a college student with only a small part-time job. It's amazing when you set some priorities.
I look forward to saying stupid shit and pissing off all you no-talent ass clowns
