Hell from PA

Wed Oct 03, 2012 3:34 am

Greetings,

I'm a long time listener of all the BN shows, even the-show-that-shall-not-be-named. After 18 months of listening, finally decided to get active in the forum. As to my brewing prowess, I'm about 20 batches in, 3 or 4 extract and the rest all grain. Haven't entered any competitions yet but I'm going to next year. Looking forward to gathering some extra knowledge and immersing myself in the debauchery.

Prost!

Hell from PA? A keyboard mistake or Freudian slip?

Welcome. Are you planning on going to NHC in 2013 since it's in your home state?

Whereabouts in PA? I'm about an 1-1/2 hours north of Harrisburg. Born in Pittsburgh, but grew up in the Altoona area.

@ TheDarkSide - Nope not a keyboard mistake, you should have seen the weather here ... (insert crickets chirping) And yes I'm planning on attending NHC this year. I'm only an hour or so from Philly. I might end up pouring something at Club night if the club I attend now and again puts something together.

@ Guido - Nice, glad to see another BNer from PA, it doesn't get mentioned nearly often enough how great of a homebrewing community we have here. I'm from Quakertown. It's in SEPA, about 15 minutes from Allentown. You anywhere near Selinsgrove? I hear great things about the brewery.

I'm about half an hour from Selinsgrove Brewing. Great place to have a beer. I'll be at the NHC as well.

I went to SU... the Brew Pub is an awesome place. The owner/brewer was my oil painting instructor. Get there and get a beer.
