Hello from Iowa

Hi all,
I live in NW Iowa, and received a Mr. Beer kit last Christmas. Since then, I've been hooked. Found the podcast around Feb/March and have learned so much. We cant get a whole lot of craft beers around here. There are a few Breweries in Des Moines (1 1/2 hours away), which is the closest HBS too. I've done 7 extract batches and one BIAB all grain, trying to convert friends from Bud Light. Would love to learn more, but no local club (that I have found) and have so many questions. Thanks for putting up with my ramblings.

Welcome Richard! While I did not, a lot of the guys here go their start with the Mr. Beer stuff. Feel free to ask or search for any questions you have, it may be a brand of special love here, but lots of helpful and knowledgeable brewers.
