BN AA?

Mon Jul 09, 2012 3:36 pm

Hi, my name is piratwolf and I am a BN-aholic.
I started brewing last January and got into the BN last fall. I've listened to every single Jamil Show/CYBI episode, 80% of the Brew Strong episodes, and about 1/2 of the Session shows. I'm an utter addict. It's pathetic. I'm even working on my drinking so I can make a respectable (?!) showing this summer when I run for DOTW.

On the plus side, I've gone in 18 months from extract to AG/4-tap DIY kegerator and I have won two Golds in regional competitions as well as a BJCP 41 for a Cat23 Imperial Red that didn't place. LIke many other fools here, I'm hoping to go pro. It seems to be to my advantage that SE Virginia is the red-headed step-child of the Craft Beer Revolution, so maybe I can get my nano rolling and ride the crest of the wave.

God bless the BN, 'Murica, and most of all Tasty & JP.

THanks, BDawg! Looks like GMTA... I passed the online test and have to wait for a seat on the tasting test. Earliest possibility is November, earliest sure thing is next January! Meantime, though, I'm judging in two BJCP competitions and two other club competitions to try to get some practice and--more importantly--some advice from longtime judges.

Cheers!
