Hello from Northern AZ

My name is Jerrad Smith. My passion is brewing but my trade is teaching college automotive classes. I started brewing a little over a year and a half ago. I did partial mash for about 6 months then went All Grain and never looked back. :aaron

Welcome.
Don't get the two confused and teach your students the ideal engine temperature should be 152 F or using Star San instead of oil.

How is you all grain process coming along?

Hey man! Welcome aboard! Once you make the switch to all-grain you will never go back! I bet you are quite handy with all of the brew tinkering that can go on in the brew house.

Cheers!

Hey guys I appreciate the welcome! It's funny Darkside that you mentioned not mixing auto and beer. HA HA I do it all the time! And to answer back at you brewinhard, I think I am pretty handy when it comes to making brew stands and brewiphenalia, between making keggles for me or my club and piping gas systems for sculptures I have a lot of fun. And now for the all grain. I have been AGing for a year now with a lot of success(and a lot of learning). In the past 6 months I have showed several other brewers how easy and cheap it can be to make the switch to AG. This week I am finally going to build my brew stand!(yay) Nothing special, it will be a single tier build with a removeable platform for the HLT. I only have 1 pump right now but will soon have 2, so I'm building the stand so it can be a 2 tier until I get another pump. As soon as I get another pump the platform will just lift off making it a single tier. It should work great (in theory). When I get this built I'm going to focus on water volumes so that I can get my 11 gal post boil volume. Lots to learn so thats why I picked BN.
