My Long Winded Intro

Sun Sep 24, 2006 8:18 pm

Hello to all. Short-time listener and first-time poster here.

My name is Brad, currently living in the center of Kansas but in the process of moving to northern Iowa. I first started brewing in the early 90's, quit in the mid-90's and have started brewing again about a month ago. I started putting together a new brewing system at the beginning of summer (since my old one slowly disapeared over time) and started looking for ideas and resources on the internet, which resulted in my discovering the Brewing Network. The podcasts and the forum have been very helpful and entertaining. I did my first batch in over 10 years three weeks ago, have two more fermenting and will hopefully be doing my first all-grain this coming weekend.

I hope to be active in the forums, more questions than answers at first, though my online time is limited until my move is complete.

Strangely, the podcast of the Sunday Live show and Jamil's show have helped me keep my sanity on the 14-hour/2-3x per month round trips between Kansas and Iowa. Still catching up on the archives. I'm hoping to listen to a live show live once I'm not on the road on Sundays.

Is all I have for now.

Cheers

Welcome back to brewing :!: Welcome to the forum also. We are mostly a bunch of asshats, but sometimes we know something.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

Thanks for the welcome Travis.

I've already picked up many tips in the forum.

Just need to find the time to brew more :?

BUB

KMA

Actually I'm brewing right now, have been all day. Did 5 gal rasberry wheat (for my wife) and in the process of 20 gal of hard cider (for the holidays.)

Hopefully I'll be brewing again in three weeks if everything goes right.

Plus I bottled 5 gal of IPA this morning.
