Hello, another from Minnesota

Tue Sep 26, 2006 5:59 am

I saw the site mentioned in the latest issue of BYO mentioning the Podcasts and decided to check it out, I listened to the brewcasters and thought had a good mix of humour and brewing advice.

Looking down the list, I see there are several other people from Minnesota, hopefully the limit hasn't been reached yet. I live in the northern metro.

I just started brewing, currently still doing extracts. Currently I have:

Raspberry Ale in bottle - not real excited about the raspeberry extract flavor.

Honey Wiezen in secondary (ready to bottle)

Bourbon Porter in the primary (ready to move to secondary)

Apple Cider in the primary

Future plans are to have the kegging system up and running by the end of the year. Hoping to move to all grain next year, but have to wait and see how that works out.
Mother's in the kitchen washing out the jugs,
Sister's in the pantry bottling the suds,
Father's in the cellar mixing up the hops,
Johnny's on the front porch watching for the cops.
