It was a dry stout. I had a 4 gallon brew kettle and was doing a partial boil, which I ran out of room in. So I ended up pulling out some of the water / extract and boiling the remaining. When complete it was a sweet beer (the way it shouldn't have been) but still drinkable. After about 5 months I would open a bottle and it would delay about 5 seconds and start fizzing out of the top of the bottle until the bottle was about half empty (not sure what happened there). So after that batch I stopped and saved up for a 9 gallon kettle with a temp gauge and ball value. All is much better now. :)
