I'd listen live to the Jamil show if it was on (all times Pacific):

Should the Jamil Show Change Day/Time Slot?

Wed Jul 26, 2006 10:15 am

Listenership for the Monday show is fantastic, but it is almost all on the podcast. We get a fair number live, but not as much as we'd like. In order to get a bit more live participation on the Monday show, we're considering moving it. If we moved it to another day/time, would more folks listen live? What would be the ideal day/time?

the only time I can listen live is at work. Leave the show on Monday at 10 am PST. Moving it to the weekends would definitely mean only podcast listening for me. Too much going on on the weekends

Jamil, I just listen to the podcast because I want to be able to take it all in. If I am listening to it live during work I would be interrupted and not be able to follow it as closely. So I guess I don't care when it moves because I would rarely listen live no matter what. Maybe if it was after lunch meat I might have a chance as I listen to the douchebags every once in awhile. There again though, don't have to pay attention them.

I voted for friday, but sat or sun would be ok for me as well. Currently I only listen on podcast and it is almost prefered so that I can pause and rewind and whatnot to catch a point... but I would probably listen live as well. The problem is that Friday is a typicly bad ratings day due to drinking parties and whatnot, but with the slightly more mature (age not behaviour) audience involved here it might be ok.

I listen live but I am at work so I can not join in on the chat (same with Lunch Meat). I also download the archive and listen a 2nd time to catch anything I missed the 1st time around. I don't think I would be at home enough on the weekends to catch the show live. I have having a hard enough time catching the Sunday show live the past few weeks.

I listen to the podcast now, I would probably only listen live on the weekends, but Friday night 10 PM (eastern) I probably wouldn't make, if I'm not out I'm well into a couple homebrews. Keep it during the week, you won't get drunken callers, and having a serious technical show on TBN is a good thing. I've been meaning to try and send questions prior to the show, maybe more people sending in questions will simulate interaction.

Part of the problem with the weekday shows it's the software install, I am not willing to download the required app that it asks for me to stream at work.

I'd like to listen live, but I have to be careful what I download here...
