I'm glad somebody said it, you shouldn't have to be an iron chef to do the things he describes. :jnj

 Heh, I'll go the other way and say I enjoy all the little rabbit holes those discussions often take. Being a sensory nerd, I was quite happy when Colin and Sean started talking about taste and smell. Though for the record: there are still only 5 basic tastes --sweet, salty, sour/acidic, bitter and umami. The court is still out on fat as I understand it, but it does look promising. The fat taste receptors were found on mice in 2005, not humans. Oh, and we can perceive about 10,000 aromas from 1,000 receptors, but we're really f'ing terrible at it.

Jan Wolfhouse: So yeah, I heard you got fired from the brewery?

Landfill: [Landfill gets mad, throws his trophy] God damn brewery! You know that brewery makes 10,000 bottles of beer a day. I drink 45 of them, and I'm the asshole!

I'm stoked and hope this rumor is a true one. I suggested it a while ago in a feedback letter. I'd love to see a Paxton show. Bring it!

I really liked the line about popcorn with butter on it... "I prefer duck fat", ridiculous.

A Paxton show would be awesome. I brew a version of his "Amarillo Pale Ale" (from off of his site), and it is always a favorite, whether its fermented on 001 or 500. It would be fun to hear a show where instead of just getting a beer recipe we get that and the recipes for a whole meal to go with it... We might even be able to get to the main course before meltdown... maybe.

I don't see how Paxton would have time to do a show. He seems like the busiest guy alive.
