I'm pretty sure it's PBW though,
I remember Doc saying how the pump would heat up during operation which in turn heated up the PBW making it work better.

Actually, in my version, I use the PBW first to clean, then turn right around and run Iodaphor through it (Star San would foam WAY too much)...

You're correct that the star san would foam pretty bad, but the acid in the star san would neutralize the high pH of the PBW. So, use Sani-Clean, another 5 Star product. It's a non-foaming acid based sanitizer. It needs a little more contact time than star san, but it's just as effective.

What type of braided hose is that - something that can handle the hot water and high pressure?

Doc mentioned he stores the pump 24/7 in the cleaning liquid. You find this is necessary, or is it OK to store the pump dry and run it through with cleaner for a bit before each use?

I can daisy chain (yeah, I said daisy chain) two or more kegs together. I'd have shown that, but I used my extra gas connector for something else.
Just some 1/2 inch hose I had laying around.
I just leave the pump in the PBW.

Yet another keg cleaner:





Sorry I don't have it documented but I will. It's based on Doc's design but with more PVC than copper and has a platform for the keg to sit on. The pump is the Little Giant 1/6 hp 5MSP. Best prices are on ebay. The basic construction is a riser built out of PVC fittings coming off the pump output. A platform made from a cutting board sits on top of the riser in the front and on two nylon spacers in the back (the handle is removed and the screws are reused.)

PBW is circulated through the center main spray pipe and both the beer-out and the gas-in posts and dip tubes. The whole thing sits in a 4 gallon bucket with 1 gallon of hot PBW. It also cleans brew pots, carboys, chest freezers, beer lines, and glass cylindrical smoking devices (so I'm told ).
