I'm pretty sure it's PBW though,
I remember Doc saying how the pump would heat up during operation which in turn heated up the PBW making it work better.
Actually, in my version, I use the PBW first to clean, then turn right around and run Iodaphor through it (Star San would foam WAY too much)...
You're correct that the star san would foam pretty bad, but the acid in the star san would neutralize the high pH of the PBW. So, use Sani-Clean, another 5 Star product. It's a non-foaming acid based sanitizer. It needs a little more contact time than star san, but it's just as effective.
