Recommendations for brewpubs in the boston area...

Sat Mar 27, 2010 1:36 pm

I'm going to be up in Boston for work the end of April... specifically staying in Woburn, but the boss will be paying my cab bills, so I can move around a bit. What are the best brewpubs and good beer bars I should check out?

Make sure that you get to Redbones in Somerville for some great beer and great Grub. It looks kinda "divey", but trust me, it's great. Cambridge Brewing in downtown Cambridge near MIT is a must, too. Both are close to Woburn.

CBC nuff said. If you want a beer bar Sunset grill in Allston and Deep Ellum down the street.
The time is near the mission clear,
Its later than you think, before you slip
into the night you'll want something to drink.

There is also Boston Beer Works, but it isn't that great.

Another good stop is the Publick House in Brookline, a great Belgian Beer Bar.

Thanks, sounds like some great places! Time to give the company card a workout :-)

+1 for the Public House. Went there last year on a trip and it is definately one of my top five gastro pubs. Foods great, beer selection is great. Had one of the best draft ciders I've ever had there.
