Grist Licker moved to Oregon!

Thu Jul 23, 2009 11:40 pm

Yes. Yes I did.

I'm finally out of the desert and back to the Pacific Northwest where I belong!

Oregon, where the beer flows like wine.

Hey Beerpunk, looks like I kinda switched places with ya. I was living in Gilbert, AZ just three weeks ago. What beer places should be at the top of my list?

That's gonna be a long list! Go here: http://beermapping.com/maps/citymaps.php?m=portlandor and just start working your way through them. McMenamins are everywhere, each one has a lineup of solid beers and good food with some variation in the menu and seasonals. Raccoon Lodge is close and good. The Dublin Pub has like 100 taps, some fresher than others. Downtown, most places are in the Pearl district - Bridgeport, Rogue, Deschutes. Cross the river and Green Dragon, Roots, and Lucky Lab are all close together. FH Steinbarts is where you'll be getting your supplies and going for the Oregon Brew Crew meetings. God, I miss Portland!

Bonus points for the Dumb & Dumber quote. But I have to dock points for being out of the Southeast. So in the end you break even.

Welcome! Just got home from the Oregon Brew fest - hell-a-good time. Downtown was a mad house. FH is the place to go, and I will also be joining Oregon Brew Crew soon.

Take care!
