Baloo lives in Ft. Collins - he should know home brewers in the area.

Val, you live in Colorado, don't be sad, you could live somewhere awful like Kansas, or Cheyenne Wells which might as well be Kansas.

...or North Dakota which might as well be Zimbabwe.

No disrespect to Zimbabwe or those from Zimbabwe (Zimbabwegians?): I just imagine your craft beer/homebrewing scene to be similar to the scene we have here in ND.

mcstellar showed up.

I've been having a weird time with beer sometimes- I'll be completely fine (maybe a little buzzed) for the longest time, then BAM, I can't see straight.
I managed to fall out of my chair when leaving Odell's missed the really nasty drop) and landed on my chin. It's all scraped, sollen, nd black&blue now.

All in all, kinda par for the course as far as my life goes.

I'm glad someone could show up to celebrate with you. Unfortunately, I am about 1,400 miles too far to the east, or I would have been there.

Jesus, Val, you just busted a long held belief I had.

I figured that if I was in a chair, I could get away with being more drunk than I was. What kills me in the "I'm not drunk, I'm just tired" excuse is that I tend to (at that very moment) stumble and fall forward, thus invalidating my claim.

A chair would, I assumed, solve that issue.

Another illusion shattered.

Usually that works. However, I just need to learn to drik slower. I haven't been drinking beer that long, so I ust end up drinking it like soda because it's so damn tasty.
I never had as much of a problem with the hard stuff, but then it's much harder to chug vodka or golschlager. If I take my time a spread it over the course of several hours, I can take shots in the double digits. (especially Long Islands. Those things are rediculously tasty and don't do jack to me for some reason)
Cramming two taster trays (6 glasses each) and two pints into less than two hours.....well, msctellar can tell you how that went.
