Stout Ice Cream Float

Sun Feb 16, 2014 8:12 pm

I've heard good things about Stout Ice Cream Floats but it surpassed my expectations. I used my own Oatmeal Stout of course and it was beyond YummY!

Anyone else have any good ice cream experiences with beer?

I'm wondering why it took me so long to try this!

They can be really good. My GF looked at me like I was crazy the first time I made one for her. Well she always looks at me like I'm crazy...

I like them better with a real ice cream but the gelato was on sale the last time we made them.

One of my favorites (at a chocolate bar in St. Louis) is a "beershake" made with Young's with cinnamon ice cream. Yum.

Just last night my wife had a cup of chocolate ice cream (bittersweet chocolate from three twins... yum) with a couple oz of my barley wine on top, it was fantastic.
