A little insight into the recipe formulation please. "A year in the making"- Can you indulge us and let us know where you started with the recipe and how you ended up with the one we see here next to that handsome brown bearded man?

I'm thinking you only brewed it twice and it just took a year for you to brew it the second time after the first

Cheers

I brewed 13 different versions over a year period. Some were minor deviations from the previous, others were major. About half the versions were no better than a previous version. My focus was purely on the malt bill and trying to make the malt flavor interesting and high in body. I released the recipe with Cal Ale being the yeast. I think it would be better with English Ale yeast to emphasize the malt.

Thanks TMD. I'll take a stab at it this summer and test it out.

It's on deck. Assuming I can get one more brew in before NHC. If not, then after NHC.

Thanks, Tasty. Jamil may be the Pope, but you are a Rock Star.
