Has ProMash been retired?

Thu Feb 11, 2010 8:16 am

Its been years since ProMash has come out with a new release and I know the developer has had some serious family issues that have impacted the time he could spend on a new release, but when I search thru the ProMash Message board it looks like the developer of ProMash hasn't made a new post since early 2009.

Its appears that ProMash has become a legacy product.

What's the word on the street regarding the future of ProMash? Its a great program and one I continue to use, but it could use an update.

I think the world is moving on to Beersmith. I have both ProMash and Beersmith, and like everything about Beersmith better. It's free to try, and cheap to buy. I suggest checking it out

I love BeerAlchemy but it's Mac and iPhone/iPod only.
I have beet tools as well, but don't much care for the interface.
It can however do a few things beer alchemy doesn't.

I know soem pro's use Promash, wonder if any have switched to any of the others?

I love beersmith. The other day I had an issue with my computer and emailed beersmith with a support question. Brad Smith emailed me back like 2 minutes later and really hooked me up with the help I needed. If you haven't tried the product, download the free trial and check it out.

I've had the same experience. Brad has always personally emailed me within minutes with an exact fix to my issue. Can't beat it

There's a malt missing from BeerSmith that I came across this weekend. CaraHell maybe?

Other than that, it's what I like as well. Pro mash was clunky for me.
