Very cool..sort of surprising, since like New Belgium you can't get away from them here. Off topic, I know, but for a state with 100 breweries our bars and restaurants really suck. Only a couple I know of that carry a variety of decent beer, regardless of whether or not it's Colorado brewed.

O'Dells might get a shout out in the 12-pack. Come to think of it, this is a good excuse to buy a bunch of beer that I haven't had in a while. I've got 7 or 8 of my own beers that will go in the variety pack. Room for 5 or 6 more, and I'll include O'Dell's.

and I know they don't bottle but if you get my name, head down to mountain sun and get me a "growler" (lol) of anything!

No bottling yet, but I hear you...I literally worked in a design studio below Mountain Sun for a while, and brew days were hell for me. I could smell everything they were doing and had to be anchored to my chair. I started smoking just to be able to take breaks and go upstairs to hang with the guys...used to get pitches of yeast from them. When they bottle I'll let you know.

Trying to think of some Colorado favorites that you can't get in other parts of the world.

It would rawk if I got any New Belgium Sours out here on the East coast :pop

+1

It's hard to find the sours here, too, unless you're in Austin or Houston.

Ok guys, the deadline is TOMORROW! Since winter has gotten pretty brutal here, I'm required to be on the mountain all day again tomorrow (it was -40F today, probably colder tomorrow) So the noon deadline is pushed back to whenever I get back home, sometime in the evening. I have to go in around 4am, so there's a very, very slight possibility they'll let me go around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, but I seriously doubt it. Plan for 8 or 9pm, mountain time. I'm sure I'll be half-frozen & exhausted from working outside in those conditions for that long, so I doubt I'll get to do the real drawing until Thursday morning, unless I get called in again in which case I'll have to do it Thursday evening.

We're up to 43 soldiers from 24 states with 13 clubs represented. If work keeps going at this rate, emails will be sent out in a couple waves. Start watching your email box Friday morning, but don't worry if you don't get the email until Monday - I just got insanely busy at the resort.

Actually I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but besides my year-round job at the brewery, I work for a world-class ski resort in Big Sky, Montana - Moonlight Basin. I do a lot of physical labor working with the chair lifts, so it's long hours and tough work in a brutal environment. I love it. If you're into skiing, snowboarding or any other winter sports, come check us out. The last survey from the 07-08 season posted us as the #13 resort in North America. Combined with the Big Sky resort, we're the largest in the US at 5500 skiable acres, the most vertical skiing at over 4000' and our Headwaters Bowl offers over 1500' vertical of some of the most extreme in-bounds terrain in North America. Come check us out, it's not always this cold :)

Here at 7500 feet in Colorado it's -21 tonight, and I'm in the garage brewing! With the kettle going it's a balmy 12 degrees inside the garage. With the Christmas ale I've been drinking (included in my secret Santa offering) it's about 104 inside me. Long underwear, Carhart bib, hat, gloves, and joy.

I mashed inside near the fire, though, so as not to lose heat. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but it's nothing but crying babies inside, so I'm feeling pretty good.
